After having an accident (shoulder luxation) due to snowboarding, I was forced to wear a Neutral Wedge for three weeks. (No, that isn’t me on the picture. :) ) Luckily enough these weeks are over and I can finally move my right arm again. It was totally disturbing in the beginning not being able to move my arm, but I got used to it eventually. For a few weeks I was left handed and not only that, I was one handed. Sure had nicer experiences in life. It was something new though. I wasn’t able to move my right arm at all, just having it in this pillow, as I call it. No movement otherwise was allowed. Have you ever tried to dress, make food, shower or shave with your left hand – and only your left hand? Well I did manage the first three but the last I admittedly left out. Shaving my face with the left hand? Let me thing about it …….. No way!, as my eye to left hand coordination three weeks ago can pretty much be described as none existent, which must have looked like this:

As a result some might have confused me with Tom Hanks in Cast Away. Just that Wilson wasn’t a volleyball, but a pillow. Within the next few weeks I will have physiotherapy and hopefully be able to do sports again soon. On the other hand (pun intended), I was able to start my blog and while it was difficult to type and use my newly bought right-hand-mouse with my left hand, I have to admit that I got by.
